The Patek Philippe reference 3990 is rare and highly collectable. While its dressed down brother, the Patek 3970, is getting ever more scarce, the 3990 is almost unheard of. The 3990 is a reference 3970 with diamond bezel (and usually a diamond dial also). This is the pre-cursor to the current Patek reference 5971.

Case is 18kt yellow gold with Patek factory diamond dial and baguette diamond bezel. Case is 36.5mm diameter by 13mm thick. Sapphire front and display back crystals. Pump style chronograph pushers.

Dial is white with applied diamond markers.

Beating inside is the outstanding Patek Philippe Caliber CH 27 70 Q with the Geneva Seal stamped on its bridge. Technical details: 24 jewels, 353 individual parts; 60 hour maximum power reserve, Gyromax balance beating at 18,000 beats per hour. Movement provides day, date, month, moonphase, leap year, 24 hour indication and chronograph, in addition to the normal 12 hour time.
